What are the tax benefits of making a gift?
As of 1 April 2008, gifts of money by New Zealand resident taxpayers to a charity receive exceptionally favourable treatment: namely a 33 1/3 % rebate on any gift (up to a limit of total net income for all gifts in a given tax year). For example, if a donor makes a gift of $3,000 it costs the donor only $2,000, once the $1,000 rebate is taken into consideration.
What are the payment methods for donations?
Payments accepted are cheques or payment into The Foundation’s bank account.
Where does my donation go?
All gifts received support The Foundation which offers scholarships for students at Knox College and Salmond College.
Can I include a gift to the Foundation in my Will?
Yes. There are many ways in which a gift in your Will can help The Foundation well into the future. For more information, please contact us at email@example.com
Will I receive a receipt for my gift?
Yes. If you have made a gift online, you will receive your receipt via email once payment has been approved. If you have chosen to make a recurring monthly gift, you will receive a receipt at the end of the financial year.
